Viceversa i talebani che in Afghanistan si trovano sull’altro lato della barricata rispetto a noi, non hanno nessuna intenzione di permettere ai loro compatrioti, oggi ed in futuro posizioni dissenzienti dal loro dettami fanatici e crudeli.
Due esempi: chi ha fatto esplodere la bomba con attentato suicida non ha avuto la minima remora, a far morire insieme coi nostri connazionali, almeno una ventina di afgani, che si trovavano nel posto sbagliato al momento sbagliato. Inoltre gli stessi talebani, quando erano al potere, trattavano le loro donne quasi come animali, obbligandole a coprirsi come delle maschere (cosa che non è certo un precetto del Corano, come qualcuno pensa) e impedendole di frequentare scuole consegnandole così totalmente alla piaga dell’analfabetismo e della prevaricazione sessuale.

Badate bene non c’è nessuna pretesa di guerra di religione e di supremazia cristiana (in nome di Cristo nei secoli dei secoli si sono commessi crimini da far impallidire Hitler e Stalin), ma semplicemente un difficile tentativo di consegnare un futuro un po’ meno tragico per quelle popolazioni.
Certo si sarebbe potuto mai andare in quell’angolo di Asia, sia che si chiami Afghanistan, sia che si chiami Iraq, né noi italiani né altri.

Insomma tra le due opzioni, il male minore è ahimè, quello di continuare questa missione, nella quale è il caso di ricordare, sono previsti e vengono effettuati anche importanti aiuti ad una popolazione civile stremata da decenni di conflitti, invasioni e regimi totalitari, il tutto condito da una perdurante miseria.
