La signora col cappello cercò di raggiungere il luogo dell’appuntamento, ma le
case erano completamente diverse dall’ultima volta e c’erano rotonde dove prima
sorgevano rassicuranti semafori. La signora aveva un cappellino grigio, con una
fascia di fiori rossi. Pensava a quando tutto era più riconoscibile e
decifrabile: gli uomini, le donne, i sentimenti, il deserto, la montagna, la
metafora. Tutto più decifrabile. Ma ora, ora c’era quella nebbia, che avvolgeva
tutto, e nessuno sembrava accorgersene. Il passato had lived in a puff

Lo vide per caso in un mercatino della domenica, seppellito sotto una montagna di camicie e pantaloni stropicciati. Ad attirarlo fu una manica che spuntava dal mucchio, con una fodera bianca in cui si intravvedeva l’inizio di una disegno. Era un kimono nero, con dei sigilli bianchi sui due petti, e il disegno del Fujihama nella fodera interna. A colpirlo, in particolare, fu la katana che sembrava spuntare dal cono del vulcano. Una rappresentazione che non aveva mai visto nelle tavole giapponesi che amava consultare on the Internet. Dobbiamo essere solo consapevoli che è la presa di coscienza che stiamo praticando nel modo giusto che ci può gratificare nel modo migliore.
Se la pensiamo a questo modo siamo già arrivati alla condizione che molti ancora stanno cercando e, se non se ne rendono conto, questi non la troveranno mai.
Ecco tutto. E' solo rimanendo consapevoli che soltanto ascoltando veramente ciò che stiamo facendo "Qui e Ora!" che troveremo la risposta al vero significato del nostro Kyudo. Solo alla condizione di apprezzare questa awareness we can enjoy the benefit of this noble practice.

Non è il caso nostro, ma è meglio analizzarlo comunque. Invece la consapevolezza che abbiamo sempre a disposizione un nuovo insegnamento da provare, da mettere in pratica o qualcosa da studiare, senza fretta e senza patemi d'animo, ci aiuterà a godere della nostra nuova esperienza e potremo ricavarne anche delle sicure soddisfazione se riusciamo alla fine superare positivamente questo nostro impegno. Altrimenti pazienza conosceremo una fettina di umiltà in più e anche i nostri limiti, che in qualche parte esistono anche per ognuno di noi.
Do not be in a hurry, but be aware that we are doing this already and there must be sufficient to be gratified.
If only we humbly do our best we will have everything we need to enjoy life even that of Kyudo.
At least we will have a clear conscience and without many regrets. Today I think that even this minimal goal is not really a small thing.
